as a motorcycle instructor. have about 3 years and 30,000 km of riding done at the ripe age of 19. have taught martial arts for about 1 and a half to 2 years.

i have taught my mother how to ride a motorcycle from SSCRATCH (meaning she didnt know how to ride a bicycle, let alone a motorcycle) she went from no 2 wheels to motorcycles in 9 weeks)

i also worked at a sales and repair shop or a local bike store, so i know what it like to deal with different types of people.

i do my own maintenance, I help my father with his, and i want to help get as many people on 2 wheels as I can.

knowing this, if you were the person hiring, would u give me the job? why or why not?
and what would be some questions i should prepare for in case i make to an interview>?

PS: i also raced pedal bikes for a few years, and wasnt too bad at it either.

Good luck!

As to whether I'd hire you, well of course it depends on the other applicants as well. Obviously if you said you were on oppo and nobody else did, then you'd be a shoo-in :)

Now the big question is, does the MSF and/or your state's DMV have any specific requirements for instructors? I know many places might prefer their instructors to be 21+ for example

Tae kuan do. I left because they wanted to start charging me like 4 times what i was paying before, and i had a bit of a disagreement with my teacher. i told him i didnt have time to come the 2 hours a week to do it because of hmk, and not because of the crazy price they wanted to charge me(weak excuse, i know) . he then said: if you cant find 2 hours in the whole week to come and do this then you have problems. at that point i just left.

i feel a little bad about it. but meh.

I did TKD when I was younger. Martial arts is a tough market to make money.

i wasnt getting paid. it was part of my 'training' to help and teach the classes. which i kinda get. but then to turn around and bump up the price (i had been going there fore 11 friggen years. paying about 80$ a month for 2 or 3 lessons a week) from 80 month to like 250? are they out of there minds?

Yeah I put my time in as a junior instructor as well, many years ago. Yeah that was a dick move on your teacher's part.
